Management Team

Henry Botha (Non-executive Chairman and Terra Rossa Capital Nominee) is a Chartered Accountant and specialist business advisor working predominantly with small manufacturing, and service companies. He has a depth of expertise in management accounting and corporate finance which he has built up through his work consulting to South Australian companies since 1977.  Mr Botha has served on seven boards (four manufacturing / service operations, one insurance group, one public sector company, and one not for profit).  He was Chairman of Direct Fertilizer International Pty Ltd and is working alongside private equity investors (at Levett Engineering Pty Ltd. Two companies that Mr Botha was a director of have been acquired (Direct Fertilizer International [by ABB Grain Ltd] and Ladderweld Pty Ltd [by Hills Industries Ltd]).  He also has extensive knowledge of corporate governance as it applies to Australian small businesses and lectures widely in this field.  Mr Botha holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Natal and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Cape Town and is a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
 
Nigel Hall (Non-executive Director and Terra Rossa Capital Nominee) currently manages the Innovation Centre Sunshine Coast Business Incubator in Queensland, attracting and developing growth oriented start-up companies and serves on the Investment Committee of Terra Rossa Capital. After commencing his career at Ernst & Young, Mr Hall has spent more than fifteen years working with start-ups and investors in executive and advisory roles. After initially joining Biosym Technologies Inc (molecular modelling), which was purchased by Corning, he focussed on the telecoms sector – co-founding Xpedite Systems Germany and selling it to Premiere Technologies Inc, then founding HighwayOne AG, which was sold to Telefonica SA. Nigel has worked closely with institutional investors and investment banks and was Managing Director of Equator Investments (an advisory firm and seed capital provider based in Cape Town, South Africa), prior to moving to Australia. Mr Hall holds a BA(Hons) Finance & Accountancy from the Fachhochschule Bremen and a Master of Business Administration from Clemson University.
 
Allan Evans (Non-Executive Director and ITEK Nominee) is Pro-Vice Chancellor Health Sciences at the University of South Australia.  Professor Evans was instrumental in establishing the Centre for Pharmaceutical Research as a business unit within the University of South Australia and his research group continues to consult to the global pharmaceutical industry in the field of pharmacokinetics. Professor Evans is also a director and co-founder of PharmaQuest Pty Ltd, another spin-out company from the University of South Australia and was actively involved in building a strategic investment partnership between PharmaQest and the Italian pharmaceutical company Sigma-Tau SpA.  He is also a distinguished researcher in his field and has published >100 peer-reviewed papers and these have received >1,200 citations.  Professor Evans holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Clinical and Experimental Pharmacology from the University of Adelaide and a Bachelor of Pharmacy from the South Australian Institute of Technology and is a past President of the Australasian Pharmaceutical Sciences Association.

Jason Valentine (CEO) has 15 years' experience in the pharmaceutical industry having worked for a pharmaceutical company and an Australian contract research organisation. In 1999, Jason joined the CPR as laboratory and business manager and was appointed general manager in 2005. Upon setup of CPR Pharma Services Pty Ltd in 2009 Jason was appointed as CEO.  Jason is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry and the management of service provision facilities.

Yvonne Lungershausen (Director: Clinical Services) has more than 18 years' of clinical trial experience, encompassing all phases of the drug development process (Phase I through Phase IV). Yvonne has worked as a clinical manager for a Phase I contract research organisation and as the clinical development manager in a leading Australian biotech company. Her extensive experience in clinical team management and project management has developed through work across most therapeutic areas for both national and international companies.

Andrew Dinan (Director: Analytical Services) has over 15 years' bio-analytical development experience, including five years developing bio-analytical methods using tandem mass spectrometry and eight years managing a bio-analytical facility. Andrew has extensive experience developing quality systems such as GLP and ISO 17025, has lead a laboratory through an FDA audit and spent two years as a consultant for BioInnovation SA, developing the quality systems for various laboratories.
